RN Registration

Please be aware that Lauren Collins (or, AB/ BC registrar known as Lauren Algra), is registered as a registered nurse both in Alberta and British Columbia, Canada, through CRNA and BCCNM. 

As an RN registered in both provinces, Lauren Collins is able to provide nursing services to residents of both provinces, which includes both in-person and virtual services. However, as Lauren Collins is not registered in any other province, no direct nursing services (in-person or virtual care) will be provided to clients outside of Alberta and British Columbia. 

The exception to this rule is clients from Manitoba, as outlined in CRNM’s policy regarding telepractice services:

“RNs located outside Manitoba who provide nursing care only by telepractice to people located in Manitoba, may do under the following conditions:
• The RN maintains registration in another Canadian jurisdiction in good standing;
• The RN identifies their full name, membership class and jurisdiction of Canadian licensure to the client as part of the informed consent process;
• The RN is able to meet all requirements of their Canadian licensing jurisdiction when engaging in this practice;
• The RN abides by all relevant federal and provincial (Manitoba) legislation for the services provided by telepractice; and
• The RN does not physically enter Manitoba for the purposes of providing RN services

For those outside of Alberta and BC purchasing nursing care products, services, recourses that are neither constituted as in-person or virtual care (pre-recorded webinars, courses, ebooks, workbooks, courses, memberships with no direct contact (whether virtually or in-person)), you do so at your own risk. However, anyone seeking in-person or virtual nursing care services will first be pre-screened for location, in order for Lauren Collins to practice within the jurisdictions allowed. 

As Lauren Collins lives in Calgary, Alberta, at this time, any matter arising out of use of this site shall be governed by the laws of the province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada as applicable.
